Afterthoughts

Very different to LE2JOG, no caramel slices for a start. This was more of a holiday than a tour with an objective which changed the motivation to get on with it. When the weather was bad it would have been nicer to have had such an objective, and sponsorship to make us power on, instead it became a grind and we questioned why we were doing it.

But after the ups were the downs, then the seaside and beaches.

The company was great, all different people and interesting to engage with and see how people came out as individuals. Bike Adventures provided the logistic support, safety net, and just enough of a light touch not to be intrusive, we felt we could do our own thing (and Allen did with doubling the mileage in his search for cols to climb). We plan on doing more with them, Channel to Med in 2010.
